Copper was mined in Bridge of Allan from the 1500s until 1807. It is claimed the copper from the mine was used to make a coin, called a Bawbee, for the coronation of Mary Queen of Scots in September 1543.
Our beautiful refurbishment complete with an extensive outdoor beer garden make the Bawbee your perfect summer destination for relaxing, catching up.
